 The Reverend Emma Jordan-Simpson

Reverend Emma, as she is fondly called by the members of her church, serves as Associate Pastor and Pastor for Programs. Her responsibilities include oversight of the Concord Pastoral Residency Program, strengthening our current ministries and creating new programs to serve the vision and mission of Concord Church. She serves as Advisor for the Concord Women’s Ministry and is helping to forge a new direction for Concord’s ministries for young people.
A graduate of Fisk University and Union Theological Seminary, she was ordained by the Concord Congregation in 1989. She is currently working toward a Doctor of Ministry degree at Drew Theological School in the area of Congregational Growth and Development. |

 The Reverend Jeffery S. Thompson

Rev. Jeffery Thompson serves the Concord Congregation as Associate Pastor and he serves the Concord Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center as Chaplain. His work among our congregation helps to resource our people for community engagement and organizing. He leads our partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
Rev. Thompson was ordained by the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Washington, DC in 2002 and is a 2005 Graduate of the Concord Pastoral Residency Program – its first class! Upon his graduation, he served as Interim Senior Minister for First Baptist Church, North Indianapolis, before returning to Brooklyn. |
